Titanic

One of my past projects is this 3-D puzzle of the famous ship.

About 14,000 were produced, now sold out

This is a three dimensional construction kit model of the Titanic. The finished model will be 53 inches (1350cm) long, 7-1/2 inches (19 cm) wide and 19 inches (480 cm) high. The model is detailed with lifeboats, portholes, cranes, smokestacks and more. It uses about 206 pieces of colored minicell foam which push together to create a great looking model of the Titanic. The model comes in sheets of foam with the parts cut in them and includes complete, illustrated instructions (which you can ignore if you want to build an unusual puzzle). It will take between 2 and 6 hours to assemble You don't need any glue. The Finished Titanic Puzzle will stay together and be suitable for display or playing with. If you find that some pieces do come loose, they may be glued permanently into place using a couple drops of super-glue.

I designed this and other puzzles for a subsidiary of Grand Toys International who is marketing them under the brand name Extreme Puzzles ™. They were manufactured in China to keep the price as low as possible.
