There are two types of plans for the Merganser.

Stitch and Glue Plans utilize plywood panels for both the hull and the deck. This is a simpler construction technique. Estimated build time is 60 - 100 hours.

Cost: $85.00

Strip Deck Hybrid Plans utilize plywood panels for the hull and and wood strips for the deck. People who enjoy woodworking and want to build a unique boat often choose this construction technique. Estimated build time is 80 - 160 hours.

Merganser Kits

Complete kits include precision cut and drilled Okoume plywood panels, plywood bulkheads, copper wire for stitching, fiberglass tape and cloth, System Three epoxy with calibrated pumps, fillers and thickeners, Squeegees, rollers, foam for seats, wooden footbraces, deck line and deck fittings , cockpit and hatch combing material.

Cost: $1000.00 plus $70 shipping in the US

Panel Only Kits include hull and deck panels and plywood bulkheads.

Cost: $375.00 plus $45 shipping in the US

Epoxy Kits include fiberglass tape and cloth, System Three epoxy with calibrated pumps, fillers and thickeners, Squeegees and rollers. This is a handy way to get all you need even if you decide to build from plans.
