Merganser Single:

A low to medium volume Greenland style touring kayak for day trips and overnight camping. This boat is built using the "stitch and glue" plywood construction for light weight, high strength and low cost. The 17 foot version of the Merganser weighs about 40 lbs.

Bluefin Single:

The Blufin is very fun and comforable to paddle. It is a multi panel/multi chine "stitch and glue) hull, which gives a nicely contoured shape with a smooth, sharp entry, nearly eliptical mid-section and slick stern. It has good Initial stablility and a comforable and predictable secondary stablilty for leans and Eskimo Rolls. It is fast and responsive and gives a very smooth ride. Baidarka Single:

An Aleutian style kayak for day touring or extended trips. This boat is built using the "stitch and glue" plywood construction for light weight, high strength and low cost. Available in 17' (5.2m) 18'(5.5m) or 19' (5.8m) sizes as plans or custom built, 18 foot size as a kit. The prototype Baidarka 17 weighs about 42 pounds. |

Widgeon:

A small touring kayak for lakes, flatwater rivers and sheltered bays and coves. This stitch and glue plywood kayak is great fun to paddle. Its light weight and smaller size make it an easy boat to paddle and easy for one person to load onto a car. It is very stable for novice paddlers and fits a wide range of paddlers. At 14 feet (4.3m) long and 35 pounds, it is one of our smaller boats. |
Rising Star Single for Children:

A kayak for kids. The rising star is intended to give kids that feel of a real kayak. It is not so large that a kid has trouble controlling it and its light weight lets a kid have fun. Parental supervision is a must for kids starting out with this boat because like a real kayak is for adults, this kayak is a bit tippy to give kids the feel and control they need for learning the sport of kayaking. Intended for kids up to about 120 lbs. |
Eider Open Double:

An 18-1/2 foot by 26 inch double kayak for day tripping and over night camping trips. This single large cockpit version is great for flexibility of use in calm or protected waters. The Eider is intended as a relatively compact double for day-tripping. She is narrower and shorter than most boats on the market for maneuverability and light weight but retains a long waterline for speed and ease of paddling. |

Atlantic Single:

Dimensions: 19 feet by 21 inches (shown) or 17 feet by 21") The Atlantic is an expedition size kayak designed to carry camping gear yet be fast and responsive. It has hard chines for carved turns and a flared bow for a dry ride. This boat weighs about 50 lbs. Strip built kayaks such as the Atlantic can be built with most unique patterns of contrasting wood strip patterns. Additional decorations of Veneer art can be added. The custom built Atlantic shown above, has a built in hand pump for emptying the cockpit after demonstrating wet entry techniques. |
Oystercatcher Single:

Dimensions: 18 feet by 21 inches The Oystercatcher is a touring kayak with a low rear deck, hollow bow and optional fixed skeg or integral rudder. The Oystercatcher is a sleek and responsive kayak which can be built to track straight like a train with its fixed skeg or be quick and responsive with out it. The integral rudder will help control the boat in windy conditions or in pleasant coves while bird-watching. |
