The Atlantic is designed or the paddler who wants a large sleek boat for fast touring or extended trips. This boat has a sharp, hollow bow to give a dry ride in most sea conditions, hard chines and a shallow "V" bottom for control. She is quick and nimble when lightly loaded and performs well in wind and waves. She easily carries plenty of gear for longer expeditions. Available in two sizes for different size paddlers.

Atlantic plans include full size templates for all the forms plus ends and cockpit and a booklet covering basic construction plus construction of various accessories and fittings. $85.00
This boat uses strip built construction and can be assembled in about 140-300 hours of work. It requires two 18 foot 1x12 boards (pine, cedar, redwood or cypress) for the shell, a sheet of 1/2" plywood for the form, a bit of 1/8" or 1/4" plywood for the bulkheads and a bit of hardwood for odds and ends.
